On October 8, 2020, Gina of DSWD (Department of Social Welfare Development), Councilor Carol of LCPC (Local Council for Protection of Children) and our past president Raymund visited Barangay Marahan Uno in Alfonso, Cavite to see 11 year-old girl who is a rape victim of her stepfather.
She was given a Huwei Matepad tablet by DSWD Alfonso out of RIMM’s monthly assistance fund for the family since it was her birthday wish. It was a surprise gift for her on-line learning during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Her mother is a manicurist with 3 young children. DSWD is waiting for the court order to apprehend the suspect.
RIMM has been making monetary donations to DSWD in order to stop sexually abused children. Another victim in Barangay Buck Estate, Alfonso, Cavite with assistance of Gina recently won the case against her stepfather.
