Rotary International Multinational Manila (RIMM) conducted a community event on August 14, 2023 distributing various school supplies to 92 indigent students from Kindergarten to Grade 10 at the Taywanak Ibaba covered basketball court in Alfonso, Cavite.
Present in the event were Past Presidents Casey, Henry, Manilito, RIMM President Raymund, Ken and 2 RIMM scholars from Camp Hope who have recently graduated from college.
The 2 RIMM sponsored scholarship recipients shared their actual experiences coming from a big family of 9 members and completing college for a brighter future.
The bulk of the school supplies were much needed writing notebooks, composition notebooks, intermediate writing pads in addition to crayons, pencils, long plastic envelopes, etc.
RIMM also provided a hot nutritious meal of macaroni, chicken and vegetables along with fruit juice drinks.
As the new school year starts soon, the economically struggled parents needed such events.
The barangay captain organized the participants and made their basketball court ready for the event.
