On May 28, 2019, a club Member Manilito Mondejar and other volunteers assisted in the donation by RIMM of the complete set of school uniforms, black shoes, back pack bags, assorted school supplies, socks and used clothing to 44 students at Camp Hope in barangay Sicat, Alfonso, Cavite. Oral hygiene kits donated by DS Marni Sy of Rotary Club of Cavite Export Processing Zone were also distributed to the 49 indigent students.
On May 31, 2019, RIMM followed up and facilitated the donation of such school supplies to the 5 most indigent students in barangay Sicat, Alfonso, Cavite at its headquarters in the same barangay (village).
The said school items donation totaled P50,074.50.
There are 8 students in Day Care, 1 in Kindergarten, 15 in Elementary and 20 in High School from Camp Hope while there are 2 in Elementary and 3 in High school from Brgy. Sicat.
School year usually starts in June in the Philippines. The new school year of Kindergarten and Elementary will commence on June 3, 2019 and Day Care on June 17, 2019.
The indigent students and mothers of Camp Hope were very grateful to RIMM and were excited to attend school. The 5 most indigent students in Brgy. Sicat had no school uniforms, broken shoes and no school supplies a few days before the start of new school year and were in tears of joy when RIMM provided them unexpectedly their much needed school items.
